This story, the news that Camp Mystic had argued to remove some buildings from the previous flood map & the OR fire map debacle, strongly suggest that we need a way to insulate hazard & risk designations from politics. Hard (impossible?), but maybe modeling on the indep. fed. reserve. Thoughts?
