Liberal Democrats are calling for an urgent rescue plan for NHS dentistry.

Our plan would introduce an emergency scheme to guarantee free dental checkups for children, new mothers, pregnant women and those on low incomes.

Europe is crying out for closer relations with Britain.

A customs union would boost growth, restore confidence in bond markets, and save billions in debt costs.

As the year ends I want to celebrate Bath’s small businesses which are vital to our city. Yet many face rising business rates & costs.

We @libdems.org.uk have long called for the unfair business rates system to be replaced. We need a system that supports businesses & encourages them to grow.

The Government has deliberately turned its back on the single most effective step it could take to kick-start growth and fill the £90 billion Brexit-shaped hole in the public finances.

We need a new Customs Union with the EU to get our economy growing.

Local authorities will be relieved the Government will cover special educational needs costs from 2028/29.

But this does not fix the deep-rooted problems that exist.

Councils still need a clear plan to address their existing deficits & children continue to be failed by a broken system.

Last summer Susan Murray won back the seat of Mid Dunbartonshire with a majority of nearly 10,000 over the SNP.

In May, voters in the equivalent seat of Strathkelvin and Bearsden will have a choice, a hardworking local champion in Adam Harley or more of the same with the SNP.

This Government has chosen to reject the single biggest thing it could do to turbocharge economic growth and repair the £90 billion Brexit black hole.

For millions of people struggling with higher bills this was a botched budget.

The challenge of securing critical minerals is partly a recycling challenge, but it will require better use of the resources we have in Devon, too. This will help to free the UK from the stranglehold that China has on critical minerals.

Tell the Government to negotiate the UK return to the Common Market!!!
Today the Government had the opportunity to end the cost of living crisis, get Britain growing again and repair the £90bn Brexit black hole - by fixing our trade with Europe.

It didn't.

Keir Starmer says everyone in the UK will be required to have mandatory digital ID. That’s not the kind of country we want to be.

Liberal Democrats have always stood up to defend civil liberties against government overreach.

We will fight tooth and nail to oppose these plans too.

Too many are falling behind, struggling with their learning & mental health.

As a former teacher, I know the challenges teachers face. It's vital they're given proper training to identify & support children with dyslexia.

Sexual exploitation is being perpetrated on an industrial scale by pimping websites which currently enjoy total legal impunity.

Advertising prostitution in a phone box was made illegal 25 years ago, so why isn’t the Government taking action on banning the practice online?
