Yes I understand that younger generations have always had a fascination with retro tech but there really is something to be said for playing a finished product (warts and all) on dedicated offline hardware that almost nothing in the modern marketplace can recreate

Could’ve been the definitive version but unfortunately it suffers from the modern movie affliction of overly produced vocals and stunt casting actors instead of actual singers

It’s so inconsistent! We get a heart wrenching soliloquy from Fantine and then in the very next scene Javert is a complete robot. Personally, I think the two leads of a movie musical should be able to sing, but then again, that’s just one man’s opinion.

Still one of my favorite music videos. There's something so earnest and hopeful about this whole project, even where technical or narrative limitations fail. Will always love this dork-ass band.
