The owner of an Irish sheep farm I watch here always gets a puppy as her present dogs get older. She believes the older dogs helps train the young ones (the dogs help with the sheep, tho they are not sheepdogs). Mona seems like a sweetheart.

I don't think it's one of my favs, but sometime--probably next year--I plan to re-read all of them in order :-). I got to meet Sir Terry once at a Berkeley, CA bookstore when we were both wandering the isles before his signing. He greeted me. I will always remember that 3 minute conversation.

PS: I don't like horror. These didn't meet my "don't like horror" threshold. My way of describing the Newsflesh series is that it's like The West Wing TV show meets Buffy the [Zombie] Slayer. I LOVED these books.

I spent jr high and high school living about 10 miles from Disneyland, & for the money reasons you mentioned, I never made it until middle school, and only then because an adult from elsewhere wanted someone to keep him company, and he paid for me. I actually think i would have hated it as a kid.
