Words can’t express my rage. At least 2 students on lockdown at Brown University already survived mass shootings.
Zoe Weissman survived Parkland in 2018.
Mia Tretta was shot in the stomach in Santa Clarita in 2019 and watched her best friend be murdered.

And now…again.

this is the second time @wired.com has compelled me to renew my lapsed subscription by doing such a good job
wired.com WIRED @wired.com · Mar 18
They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

I think if you don't want to buy things from major retailers today or any day that is great, and I would also love for everyone to remember that successful movements usually need to involve labor, and to start thinking of yourself as a worker first and a consumer second

The unmitigated gall of calling these actions “efficient” is making my head explode
If all their previous actions don't destroy scientific research in the U.S., this one, which seeks to modify or terminate grants and contracts, including those to educational institutions, will certainly do so.

It's so sad that those who have benefited from the system now seek to destroy it.

I have known several dairy farmers and all of them are grossed out by raw milk.

I know several people who have been in the military who laugh at "military grade."

What other phrases are used to sound hardcore but are actually good indicators someone has no idea what they're talking about?

I think an American flag created entirely by black men at the Superbowl is one of the best pieces of art I've seen in my lifetime. I hope it actually killed some folks. And I hope it finally closes the fucking book on the argument that we shouldn't use the flag to fight the God damned fascists.
