I think this is more of a thumbnail comprehension issue but it might be worth generalising it as a general comprehension issue. These people are living in a complete kayfabe universe that has been built inside their heads where nothing real can be comprehended.

I'd far rather see Sadiq Khan in Number 10 than any of the Labour front bench. The press can talk up Streeting all they like. He's not "The Grannies Favourite". Everybody hates him. The press like him because he shares most of their bigotries and also he is a guaranteed loser. They would fear Khan.

Besides, Starmer could have everything to fear from Khan were he somehow evicted from the Mayoralty and to find himself looking for alternative employment. It's called "Doing a Boris" and if a clot like Boris can pull it off then Khan could probably do it in his sleep.

Sure, he'll just move on to some other unfortunate target, either somebody non-white or a woman, often both, but he can't take the heat of somebody who snaps back. Starmer needs to learn this and fast. If he asks, I'm sure that Khan would be willing to help him.

While Starmer is floundering all over the place, Sadiq Khan knows how to play this stupid game. You challenge Trump to explain what he really means. Trump either has to admit that it is all pure racism or chicken out. You call his bluff. Trump is a coward. If you stand up to him he chickens out.

These warnings are not so people can short the bubble. It's pure chance whether that works and most people will lose on that. These warnings are so that people can get their long positions out of the bubble in time. Being early at that means you miss a few percent. That's way better than being late!

This is a bit unfair on Netscape. They had a good core product, albeit one with no way to make money from. OpenAI has a lousy core product and no way to make money. Netscape Navigator was reborn as Firefox, Thunderbird and Seamonkey. I wouldn't put money on any OpenAI stuff being reborn as anything.
