I am British and grumpy. Tories, Brexit and most other things make me grumpy. I am a ridiculous blue rectangle in a silly green hat and I demand that you take me seriously! Born 1970s. Unable to age verify. danielrigal.co.uk @[email protected]

I should have a pinned skeet so that people will take me seriously. That's how this works, right?

Aspirational clam.

My congratulations to all Baseball Perverts. It was their "super bowl" last night and it seems they all had a very bad time (in their culture that's how you have a good time)

The news story that reveals Wes Streeting’s puberty-blocker ban to be nothing to do with “protecting children” and everything to do with Wes Streeting and Keir Starmer being deeply transphobic bigots…

Suddenly when puberty blockers are given to cis kids, the Daily Mail (the same newspaper which backed Hitler btw) finally admits that "their effects are not permanent, and once a child lets their blocking treatment lapse, puberty will just continue as normal."

Which is true for trans kids too.
Because it’s cis kids.
The NHS will quite casually give cis kids whatever treatment they need, even PBs👇
No trials. No concerns about side effects. No moral panic.

The most spectacular costume of 2025? That honor belongs to…
This is sad on multiple levels. You have a guy pleading for his life to a president who doesn't give a shit. You have him humiliating himself in public, his hypocrisy on full display, without a hint of understanding that the US "healthcare" system is a scam and he isn't the only victim.

When you see Mamdani looking all normal doing normal person things—petting bodega cats, riding public transport—you realize just how bizarre and estranged our average candidate for public office is. Rich martians in flesh suits
They are great fun to write though. I'm working on one about how Reform can win the next UK General Election if Nigel Farage sticks his dick in a mousetrap on live TV. It probably doesn't need to be more than 300 pages but I'm enjoying myself too much to stop.

The “Person who wants a political party to lose describes what that political party must do to win” genre of article is just incredibly insulting to everyone’s intelligence yet it will persist until the end of time

Recently my brother in law explained what gerrymandering was to a coworker and they didn’t believe him because if that were really happening there would be riots in the street
This week I had someone tell me they're not worried about SNAP being cut off because "that's illegal, so it's impossible Trump could do that, so obviously it's just media sensationalism." Another person told me they weren't worried about ICE because "they can't detain you if you're legally here."

They try to make railway electrification sound futuristic but the truth is that the UK trying to get back into a programme it dropped in the 1950s without admitting that it dropped the ball back then.

Trump is an indecisive coward. He's probably not going to do anything but, just by talking about it, he will raise tensions and get more people killed.

Trump tells military to plan for 'action' over his claim that Nigeria allows killing of Christians
The US president says his threat is over killings of Christians - though experts say there is no evidence they are disproportionately targeted.

Future generations will scratch their heads at how the zeitgeist spent a few years pretending to be obsessed with toilets before moving on to some other nonsense.

Also, if I was going to use the word "chivalry" an excessive number of times I hope I would be smart enough to look up what it actually meant so I didn't make a complete arse of myself. But then, given how much of their content is listicles, maybe they should look up what an encyclopaedia is first.
The beef with Relativity is so stupid. We know that Relativity is correct because nukes wouldn't work if it wasn't but these losers are so stuck in the 1930s that they wouldn't know about that. All they know is that Einstein was of Jewish descent and a personal bugbear of their beloved Fuhrer.
It didn't take them long to go from allowing discrimination to mandating it.
I wonder whether it can be circumvented by setting up women's groups as explicitly "for cis and trans women only"?
Even worse, mocking Silwa for what he does in his spare time only invites questions about what Cuomo does in his. I think most people would prefer a weird cat guy to a creepy sex pest.
They even got the face peel bit the wrong way round for their dumb claim. It should have been Silwa peeling his face to reveal Mamdani. I don't think they can blame that ineptitude on the AI.
It steals everybody's faces except Cuomo's, who isn't in it as he's a massive vote loser. It fails to land a punch on Mamdani and it made me feel a little bit sorry for Silwa.

i hate that AI has now caused me to question the authenticity of cute animal videos online, which is my primary use of social media. i don't even know if this baby penguin actually wore a beret to go buy a tiny baguette in paris
