yesterday started with me missing a key meeting and ended with me dumping used hamster bedding and poo all over my bed as i was cleaning. there were some good bits in between, but i could have done without the bookends.

as a Brown alum, i heard a lot about this shooting as it was happening. to me, that doesn't make it more significant than any other shooting, just closer to home.
'mass shooting' should not be a common phrase.

We taught kids to read, write, and dream; then trained them to hide, barricade, and bleed quietly while adults chose guns, cowardice, and silence over their future.
