This was an excellent piece - as a graduate of a small liberal arts college I fear a future for it where it becomes unrecognizable to me (or worse), but I think my alma mater is on firmer ground (for now) than even smaller schools like the one from the story.

The shooting numbers tell the story - it's been a mudfight. Super physical in the painted area both ways, neither team giving up anything easy. Peterson is definitely rusty and KU's still figuring out how to play with him a little bit.

Arena in KC is about 75-80 percent full here, and with the game underway I'd say that's all it'll be. A little disappointing. But it's plenty loud in here. Predominantly KU crowd, including a full student section allotment which Mizzou doesn't have (it's KU's 'home' game)

Miami is in because the ACC is still an Autonomy 4 conference and the committee wasn’t going to shiv them if they could justify not shivving them.
