This record might appeal to fellow devotees of the Jeff Parker ETA IVtet. I know I'm going to be playing it loads this year.

I love this beermat already, I wonder if another owl would improve it though?

Happy Birthday to Bill Bailey, by far the nicest, smartest, funniest and most generous one I ever worked with. (It didn't feel like work at all.)

As Nuts In May is on telly tonight, what's everyone having for tea in 1973?

I bet even @southlondongirl.bsky.social can't beat this feast.

My top pics from the Lee Miller exhibition at Tate Britain. While I'm glad they've got a hit, it's frustrating that it doesn't need to be very busy to make seeing half of it very difficult.

Ironically the storm is preventing me from seeing the new 4K of SORCERER at the Prince Charles Cinema this afternoon at 2:45.

If anyone can use my ticket, free and a centre seat, please let me know and I'll send you it.

Two names that propped up my 1970s childhood departed today: Martin Chivers and Terry Yorath, who, if he hadn't made his name as a midfield legend, would have been a great name for a SF/Fantasy character.

I keep getting Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal confused, so I'm writing a poem as a handy aide memoire:

Moustachioed is he?
Then Pedro he be.

If he's brooding and tall,
Then his name is Paul.

Gonna have to go back and check what everyone hated about series 5 of Slow Horses. We're two episodes in and loving it as much as the previouses.

And I've never enjoyed feeling so conflicted about whether one character should just die or not.

You're welcome?

He followed me, I'm confused about many things.

It would be an honour to have Cheddar Gorge renamed after me, says Dan Mudford.

Found the perfect music for coming down from a hard afternoon at the experimental techno coalface. Obviously featured vicariously in the great A Mighty Wind.

Went to London's Silver Vaults for the first time yesterday. It doesn't take long before I got totally silvered out. But this staircase really struck me. If I ever make a scripted film, it's in.

Books that furnish a room so beautifully. (Note the saucy illustration on the spine of 'Tales Of The Little Sisters of St. Francis')
