Work in progress on a mermaid sculpture based on a shark. I'm planning on painting her this week.

Got a chance to see some of the props from Frankenstein today. I wont post the gory ones, beautiful as they were.
Two metal adornments worn by The Creature during its resurrection. A metal skull cap that covers the eyes and nose and a metal rib cage with a copper and glass battery in its sternum.

WIP mermaid. Still working on the arms. I'm thinking of using some of the shimmery teal ink mixed with acrylic medium for the bulk of the body.

A one seven-hundredth scale model of Gamera the turtle kaiju stands side by side with a chitinous crab-like kaiju (I haven't come up with a name). The crab'right claw is much larger than its left claw. It has two sets of three lime green eyes on either side of its thin carapace. The top third of its height is taken up by a tall bladed section of shell.

Drawn 8 years ago today. Fitting that it should pop up the day we're going to see Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein in the theater.

I'm no tactistitian, but if I'm going to take cover under heavy fire, I'm probably going to hunker down on the least exposed side of an obstruction, rather than the one open to multiple long sight lines and several open subway doors. But I guess that's why I'm not a black ops do-er.

More Weird Lil' Deedlees, this time in sculpey.
Three small clay chibi salamander sculptures arranged in a triangle. One is an axolotl, a white and pink underwater species with three gills on either side of its head.
