Downloaded all amazon data, canceled Prime, and now hesitating over clicking the "Close your account" button........ sigh.
Today's boycott will be hard. Figuring out frozen food options to take to work for lunch, and grilled cheese and salad for dinner. But today I will also shut down prime, as well as my amazon account. So many household things - water filters, vacuum filters, batteries, etc to change buying habits.

Moreso than the racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic nonsense, the whole cognitive dissonance is the most exhausting part of this. I find myself worn down by fighting the tiny voice inside saying "If this is happening then maybe you're crazy and the world isn't."

Ugh. Just unfriended (on the 'book platform) a gay couple we know peripherally here because they were celebrating attending the inauguration and how great it was. I'm nauseous.

This is so true. Trickle down economics never trickled down. Cutting regulations never led to lower prices nor did it lead to safer products/services. Corporations do not police themselves.
The argument against regulation is always the same: “It stifles growth and jobs.”
But just as tax cuts for corporations have not trickled down, regulatory cuts have not benefited most people.
Big companies enjoy bigger profits. Working people bear the costs.
