The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

Former Special Counsel, Jack Smith, explicitly states:

"President Trump was by a large measure the most culpable and most responsible person in this conspiracy. These crimes were committed for his benefit. The attack that happened at the Capitol, part of this case, does not happen without him."

Trump is insane. His inner circle is insane. They want to burn the world so they can loot everyone else’s wealth, feel like big tough guys, and hurt all the groups they despise.

But the thing breaking the whole world is how everyone feels obligated to avoid stating this fact directly.

By and large Americans don't have insane values, they just live in an insane information environment in which basic facts about the world are constantly being distorted

Thinking about the sinking of the USS Johnston today in light of current events.

"Three 14 inch shells struck the Johnston in succession...Somehow, the Johnston remained afloat [and] stayed in the fight with only her two forward 4 inch guns...Soon enough, the Johnston succumbed."

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Final in Piscataway, New Jersey: Penn State 40, Rutgers 36.

Rutgers scored more points against the Paterno bastards than they ever have, and lost because of a 4th-quarter fumble.

They haven't beaten Penn State in 38 years.

If Greg Schiano can't win this game, then he needs to go.

hi new friends. you’re here because I openly posted about being suicidal, but on my better days I’m simply a Shakespeare professor at William & Mary. I would love it if you read some of my work on Ophelia’s pregnancy, the heart of my first book:

I've never used that phrase in my life. It just came out.
