John FitzGerald (ESRI) on RTÉ discussing the budget saying "the cost of living crisis is fake news" if you look at the numbers, which show inflation up 2% last yr, this yr, & prob next yr.

I'm sure that's true, but if anything, it highlights the problem of aggregation in inflation calcs

I heard the ESB maintain a list too, based on service/billing activity I assume.

I suppose the task for Revenue is to decide whether to pool all the lists & how to do that, or maintain their own.
It would be not funny at all if they wanted their own & decided to make it self-assessed/self-declared.

There was much detail in the Indo about the investigative efforts the paper made in uncovering Gavin’s behaviour. What the newspaper and its editorial staff did not say is that the scoop was handed on a plate to them by Gavin’s tenant who happens to be a fellow colleague in Mediahuis, owner of the Indo and various titles, including the Sunday World. That former tenant is the deputy editor of the World, Niall Donald.

I did think it was strange when MM said on Six One that they asked Gavin "Are there any issues with a tenant?".
A very specific question.

I suppose it makes more sense now we know that the Indo emailed FF wanting to ask a question about a tenant issue before Gavin was announced as nominee.
