Chicago media is reporting that CBP agents came under fire today in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. In its statement, DHS said (without irony), "The violence must end." Says the agency that has treated Chicagoans like insurgents since they arrived in September:

Indeed. The military had assets in place which could have surveilled the vessel, stopped it, and detained its passengers if it saw fit. In other words, incinerating people in international waters was unnecessary. Yet another crime to discuss at the tribunals.
