Afterglow over Georgian Bay, Grey County, Ontario. Grey County was named in honour of the British Colonial Secretary's father, Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1830-1834. For the #AlphabetChallenge #WeekEforEponymous

The Trumpeter Swan is the North American relative of the Whooper Swan found in Eurasia. Once again, some authorities regard them as one species.

The Whooper Swan also has a patch of yellow at the base of the bill that extends past the nostril.

They're either a subspecies of Tundra Swan or a separate species depending on which authority you believe. They have a patch of yellow at the base of the bill.
