It was the final period of the Bruins/Canucks Stanley Cup Final, Game 7. Or maybe 10 minutes each after my son and daughter were born. I'm not sure, I'll ask my wife what she thinks.

Once met an ancient Bubba, as Seabrook locals are called, sitting on a low stool next to a shucked clamshell pile that was close to 4 ft. tall. He was an affable expert at the task. Souther's Clams next to Rte 286—good fishermen & clam diggers with accents as thick as that August day was long.

Besides the intimate knowledge of bird behavior on display in this poem...what a show of rhyme, sustained rhyme. A bit of an homage to the beautiful, confused singing of the birds in my opinion. Lovely.
