Pretty solid when I was a kid, then some rough years when Joe Thornton was young but Chara coming here turned it all around after a bad 1st year and they've been fun to watch and competitive every year until last year.

You might be right. There’s a bunch of young guys who need to prove some things but if Hagens comes in at the end of this season and can play a pro game then they have assets to trade to speed up the rebuild/retool in my opinion. A lot of “if’s” either way.

Both teams on the rise, those are what the rosters & foundational pieces show. Big game for 1st because someone has to be in 1st. Great atmosphere in the barn b/c of mutual hatred between fan bases. Players got up for the game due to rivalry. But neither team is a contender, you got that right.

Dougie, I'm a realist. Who are you? The Bruins, with the youngsters, need to go into Montreal and win on a Sat. night so they know they can win on a big stage for the rest of the year. I don't really care what the Habs need out of this one but they clearly need something similar. Sit down, man.
