A perfect list. So much great television in 2025.

TV critic David Bianculli says 2025 offered so many great shows he couldn't narrow them down. But in a year of intense TV, Netflix's haunting series Adolescence, stands apart. n.pr/499a2HE

Visited a local Christmas Tree and Wreath farm at sunset to pick up our wreaths for the holidays. Love their classic Warming House. #memories #Christmas2025 #HappyHolidays

“A Biltmore Christmas” is one of Hallmark’s very best Christmas movies. So well done!

Sometimes Mr. Montgomery would partly disassemble a machine and leave it on Lundy’s bench — a test, a puzzle, a method of teaching as old as apprenticeship itself.

“It’s like Zen,” Lundy says about those hours at the bench.

My prediction: Wisconsin Badgers lose 58-7, and it won’t even be that close. 😝

In April, “Purple Rain the Musical” was held back for six months for ‘retooling.’ It’s still a fucking mess.

Bad sound, bad acting, bad pacing, bad dialogue, bad editing.

Perhaps cut out all the dialogue and play the songs. It might be tolerable. Just godawful as is.

How can you fuck up Prince?

Crazy to have the worst night of mosquitoes of this summer in Minnesota be on September 16th.

This sixty-something man should not be enjoying “The Gilmore Girls” series as much as he is. 🙃 The writing is fantastic! #gilmoregirls

You gotta love a book about Space that references the Beatles for a full page. 🥰

One confirmation that you don’t give a damn about the #Packers during this fantastic Milwaukee #Brewers run: your mother-in-law calls you to tell you that there’s an exhibition game on.

If you accidentally search Google instead of the iTunes Store for "Blonde on Blonde", you don't necessarily get Bob Dylan.

Little Free Libraries FTW!

Was dropping some books off today at various LFLs locations, and found Andy Weir’s “Hail Mary”, a book that’s been on by waitlist at the public library for months. Score!

Watching the Hallmark Christmas movie “Lily’s Destiny.” The lead character (and former Miss Minnesota) attended ‘St. Paul College’.

Go Walleyes!!!

Watched the film “The Friend” with Naomi Watts and Bill Murray. Whether or not you own a dog, this one hits hard. Highly recommended.

Working in the yard and a motorcycle goes by playing the song “El Paso” by Marty Robbins. Well, a bit loud I think, but I love the song, so good on you.

A half hour later, a large motorcycle goes by. It’s the same one. Playing “El Paso” by Marty Robbins at the loudest level possible.

Good on you.

Two young women were talking about the tv show “The Gilded Age” next to my breakfast table this morning.

After discussing the costumes worn and the food served on the show, one turns to the other and says, “I can’t believe people lived like that in the 1930s.”
