Going from one city to the other in Central China — Zhengzhou 郑州 (provincial capital of He’nan, population c.10.3 million metro) to Xuchang 许昌 (population c.1.952 million metro) — by metro. Taking the Zhengzhou-Xuchang/Zhengxu line of the Zhengzhou Metro.

China is an enormous country where there is still a lot of physical place for solar and wind. It can do it! Just that local bureaucrats must wake up and face the music. The era of farting CO2 a la coal and stuff is OVER. Also, time to repurpose that coal railway so passengers can use it as well!

When was the last time you entered or left the USA — by Train?

We did it this past summer — Amtrak Cascades from Seattle to Vancouver.

Train delayed — but we had great seating and real good views!…

Trains action at Zhengzhou main station… do you see the High Speed train in the back in motion?… at the Clapham Junction or Olten of China…

Beijing Subway now has 100 interchange stations — including two under a temporary “exit + interchange” arrangement.

Dahongmen opened up in full on 08 November 2025 — a key crossover between a major north-south route and the city’s busiest ring line. (Until then, it opened for Line 10 only.)

That window/seat/table alignment (especially on the upper level)…

(PS: compare that with a Stadler trainset…)

VIA Rail needs to start selling Montréal Central to Dorval tickets. Come on. No excuses.

In Switzerland, the airport station is RIGHT UNDERNEATH THE AIRPORT — PLUS there is a train every ***10*** minutes!
Montreal just extended their Grade 4 Automated Rapid Transit line we should be building hundreds more lines like it all over the Continent
no one has ever spoken like this about a GoA4 (grade-of-automation four, or no staff on-board and completely automatic) driverless metro

Something I found in New York earlier this year. 😂🤣😂🤣

Goes double to those demented dotards who wish to prop up felons, war criminals, and con men.

You guys here on Bluesky are getting the FULL David Feng Trains. 😃

Given the ideological tendencies…
On “that other” network, I’m going to share less. Probably only the stuff people know me for. China Trains, plus microphones with enormous foam covers. 😂🤣😂🤣
This network? Everything, and everything else. If you have someone sane to keep things in control, it’s good!

Beijing is getting an all-new Line 18 soon…
This line, for now, adds metro links in northern Beijing’s suburbs, but a few years from now, following line reconfiguration, will offer a direct link to the city centre.

Been quite busy on YouTube as of late — including a Big Kahuna clip about ALL 29 LINES (!!!) across the 879 km Beijing Subway network… 11 minutes to keep you informed. Including trams and even a Maglev line!… m.youtube.com/watch?v=ioe_...

Spot my big mic BTW 🤣 @wrzlbrnft.bsky.social

David Feng did Trains in the US this past summer. The rest, I guess, is history? 😂🤣 #TrainsNotPlanes
A growing number of Americans are rolling into the holidays by train with Amtrak reporting an increase in riders after federally mandated flight reductions led to thousands of delays and cancellations at major airports nationwide. NBC News' Emilie Ikeda reports.

Back on Bluesky… have had some handle errors as of late — but am now back, bugs squished.
I don’t do full live Train trip tweets on “that other network” so you guys are in luck here on Bluesky!
Also will be exploring more YouTube and Substack… for multimedia + Trains content…

Up next… content about Trains in and around Zhengzhou. This being the Clapham Junction of the Chinese railways it is not easy to decide which one to do!… as there are so many of them. So, will start with two short intercity lines — Central Zhengzhou to Xinzheng Airport, and Zhengzhou to Kaifeng.

China has begun pre service trials for the worlds fastest high speed train.

The CR450 reached a top speed of 453 kilometers per hour (281mph) and is set to enter commercial operation next year.

The country is on track to reach 50,000km of HSR this year.

I am (almost) not shitting you guys… if I haven’t been to Beijing South railway station a thousand times, then at least hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of times since Day 1 of it in HSR mode. Quite a few things have changed, in the meantime… youtu.be/CA64z7N4i2s

Long Covid, for those who have it, is genuinely debilitating. I’ve been to many medical practitioners and it’s clear I have it. It varies between serious and almost “not a thing” on different days, sometimes with little explanation why, and frustrating, of course, it certainly is (perplexing, too!)…

The fast warming is also having severe consequences for high speed rail.

Extreme rainfall is replacing snowfall in much of the Alps, causing landslides. And the landslides destroy rail infrastructure at the very time we need to switch from flying to using the train for holiday trips.

David Feng’s scheming indoctrination efforts, involving his world-famous commentary on trains and enormous, thick, super-squishy microphone foam covers, is working very well on “the dark side”. 😂🤣
