It’s not early season college basketball without some games in Uncasville, Connecticut! Here’s the first Saturday Watch Grid

I love that multiple major American cities have a famous Slide That Kills You that is still operational
I love that the Boston cop slide never got fixed and now people just willingly go down it in tribute. It’s basically a national landmark at this point

This is incredible. I wonder if anyone has ever made one for basketball...
And following the lineage king of the hill style through those 156 years from that point... the mythical traveling trophy sits with Louisville.

(They defend it against Cal this weekend.)

College basketball is back! And the first game is already in the 2nd half? Better late than never for the first Watch Grid of the new year. Enjoy!

Caring for the immigrant (as well as the poor, the sick, and the widow) is honestly one of the strongest, easily traceable themes in the entire Bible
So I have a question. Are there any people out there who actually have a strong RELIGIOUS objection to all the stuff ICE is doing now? Not a philosophical one or a moral one, but something akin to the "deeply held religious beliefs" cited to avoid making cakes or websites.

Very proud of my wife, who got ordained as a pastor in the Lutheran church this past weekend! That’s the denomination that supports female pastors and brewing beer, so it works out well for us

I’m convinced the “Big Ten Trailblazers” intentionally picks athletes that were not in the Big Ten when they were in college

Why does the father and daughter in that Hampton Inn commercial show up to the hotel wearing gear for one team and then the next day they’re wearing gear for a completely different team?

A lot of attention rightfully being given to OK CHRIST, but I'm laughing at the image of ETSU playing a team wearing Chuck Taylors like its 1964

Gonna need @jasonkirk.fyi’s expertise on this: UCLA going 1-11 with a win over #7 would have to be one of the funniest seasons of all time, no?

Extremely well-deserved and long overdue. The best Michigan basketball player of my lifetime
Michigan will raise Trey Burke's number to the Crisler Center rafters when the Wolverines host Ohio State.

The Buckeyes did not recruit the Columbus native and watched him sweep the nation's top individual honors as he led U-M to the 2013 Final Four.

Sometimes when I see things like Portnoy on pre-game shows or the endless gambling ads, I feel like college football is no longer for me, then I hear @stephenhartzell.bsky.social say “that doink was sponsored by the @sickoscommittee.org” and I’m thankful for this weird corner of the internet
