Last night, I joined New Yorkers across all walks of life to mourn the state sanctioned murder of Alex Pretti. I'm especially proud of our union members, including nurses who have been striking for the past 19 days, who gathered to honor Alex's compassion for his patients and neighbors.

Trump policies kill. That is absolutely not even a little exaggerated. Just read this unlocked article.

Last night at the debate, when asked about how to respond to the 150,000 children who are housing insecure, @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social offered a set of solutions like the Every Child and Family is Known program. His opponents had platitudes but were never pressed on the details by the moderators.

@aaronnarraph.bsky.social I want to share your extremely important thread on how ZM won with someone not on Bluesky. Can't figure out how to do that. Thanks.

His lies about fighting Trump have always been for the cameras and, unfortunately, the voters.

Few people benefit from Trump being in power more than abusive corrupt men like Andrew Cuomo. www.nytimes.com/2025/08/07/n...

NYC Budget recap! Tl;dr: New Yorkers & NYC Council Members fought against Eric Adam’s cuts, & WE WON. We won $ back for education, childcare, libraries, crisis services, & more! We’re gonna keep fighting to make sure essential services aren’t at the mercy of politicians like #EricAdams. #CareNotCuts

No one knows Cuomo better than Glaser. He was Cuomo's #2. I just wish he had come out sooner and revealed a small portion of what he must know.

My choice to protect our neighbors from ICE and Trump:
✅Showed up today to support (and last week, and the one before that ).
✅ has passed and introduced legislation to stop ICE
✅ chaired the Immigration committee
That’s @shahanafrombk.bsky.social
I’m relieved that our courageous Comptroller is released and safe. But I am deeply concerned about the wellbeing of our immigrant New Yorkers who need to come into this building to process their asylum claims.
