... *besides* 5.3 /lh. i love the hw patches, they're the most memorable to me still. would've been 10000x times better if SE hadn't killed off ysayle and they used the patches to give her an actual resolution to her arc.

putting my characters' lore down on paper finally, namely for my own reference instead of having to remember it all in my noggin, and for others to read if they so wish.

tl;dr: GenAI and game design concepts traditionally referred to as "AI" (enemy behaviors, pathfinding, etc.) are not the same thing, and I'm on my knees begging people to learn the difference, lest we see more bullshit claims like what The Escapist put out re: Blue Prince.

Shoutout to commission clients who send crude mockups and stick figure drawings to get across the idea of what they want for their comm. You don't need advanced art skills to communicate concepts.

i can't really choose, so these were my two favorite sets of the year! arguably pretty simple and with a greater focus on overall composition vs. a complicated pose. i have a bias for portrait, clearly :3

lrp reminded me of another lore snippet that hurt my heart
![Arak is a local specialty in Ala Ghiri that once made the town famous. Several NPCs speak of the spirit, but stores of it were "promptly depleted when the Garleans took control."

A colorless, licorice-flavored drink cor specialty of the Gyr Abanian region.
The drink uses date palms, but "all of the date palms native to [the Peaks] have been cut down." As such, the ingredients to make it "have grown increasingly sparse" so bottles are very rare and expensive.
However, a spy in Skulls sent date palm seeds from Garlemald to his mother in Coldhearth.
Coldhearth has planted the seeds, and plans to trade with Ala Ghiri when they make their harvest.
