This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

Kevin thinks that DOGE needs to cut the federal government faster and shrugs off the firing errors at the NNSA as "Big deal. So what?" He says this is private equity strategy to cut the fat and waste. Government is NOT PRIVATE EQUITY. It's public safety. It's our lives.

National parks had 1,400 contracts for their seasonal workers put on indefinite hold. That means fewer employees during peak seasons to support visitors and protect our resources. Volunteer at www.nps.gov/getinvolved/... to help keep our parks going!!

I think it is important for freedom of assembly to apply to the places where people assemble.
I miss the days when people didn't consider having a social media account a first amendment right. Funny how attitudes changed when people discovered they could monetize these things innit

Stayed on the ride until the wheels fell off. Definitely feels like whatever comes back online won't be the same TT we said goodbye to today.
