Yesterday, my grandfather Alton “Al” passed peacefully through a medically assisted death, surrounded by those who loved him most. He was a veteran, a gentleman, and the kind of steady, and THE most gentle father figure this world doesn’t make enough of.

I’m terribly sorry for being away again after many promises. I needed more space to figure all of the messy cobwebs that were my life, but now the feather duster of therapy has done its dusting— still going, but I’m a lot better, even if still covered in dust.
