If you could put colored markers on the genetic identifiers of the developing digits in an embryo, you’d see the pointer and middle are the same and the ring and pinky are the same. For completion here’s your typical modern elf hand with the numbered digits: 11/20

And I’m explaining elf hands with that same concept. The Well of Eternity’s arcane radiation induced polydactyly, specifically of the second and third digits. Thus on a genetic level, elves only have 3 distinct digits. This is what the hands of the first “stem-elves” likely would’ve looked like:

Look at all of those digits. This is what happens when you have a limb that’s not quite done being a fin. And fins use repeating structure to fill out their form. 4/20

I wrote two chapters (4.5k total) about Cathala and Tarinne in the days following Teldrassil. As in, it begins the very next day, after Cathala escaped and reunited with Tarinne in Stormwind.

I can't find fantastic sources but these photos look legit and at the very least it's a believable idea so yknow 😭 They sold the meat from stalls. I have to assume it was, like, less-than-amazing cuts from the butchers. It seems to have been mostly horse meat?

This is exactly my kind of research. Now yes I relented and went to wikipedia but it's actually fairly robust.
Basically, there used to be folks in London who would cart around wagons of raw meat to feed everyone's cats/dogs. They even had set routes. It's like the milk man but meat for pets.
