Ugh, I dunno. Every time I redownload this game I have fun at the start but then it just… grates on me. It’s so male gazey and I know that’s part of the satire but at the same time… it’s not satire. I feel gross and not in the way a cyberpunk dystopia probably intends. It’s not a fun discomfort.

In winter, I have bird feeders up, but the last 10-ish years I've been planting more native plants out in my yard each year. Witnessing the interactions between these plants and wildlife has been so joyful, and full of constant learning. This winter, tree sparrows taught me something new 🪶 (thread):

Cathala gets a fucking tooth punched out in her first fight that night, and when they actually start talking after the fight there's blood just pouring out of her mouth. But unlike Tarinne, Cathala's unfazed and pokes the resident healer. Tooth grown back just like that.

For context Cathala and Tarinne parted ways after MoP and reunited by chance two-ish years later when Tarinne visited a touring Brawler's Guild event outside a local festival.

Despite it being in Cathala's backstory, I've never actually done any Brawler's Guild stuff in the game 💀 I'm sure it will be exactly like how I imagine it to be in my head, a fiction inspired purely by depictions of pit fighting in other media with very little connection to the source material.

It's just so cool to watch these guys hunt. And kind of scary when I wonder for a second what the lives of our distant ancestors were like when the non-avian dinosaurs were the dominant vertebrates. In the best way though
