With the tragic anniversary of Sandy Hook in the news, I had an ominous feeling it would inspire someone.

Usually at this time of year I'm feeling reflective and looking forward to new beginnings. I've never felt less hopeful, less defeated.

I’m trying to strike a healthy balance between being informed and being oblivious.

I still pop over to Twitter throughout the day and lately it just leaves me nauseated. The hatred and ignorance is inescapable.

Thank you. As a therapist, I've been frustrated that ppl don't understand that they cannot use logic to convince MAGA to be empathetic & moral. MAGA are motivated by their emotions- mainly fear, and lack of trust & emotional safety- which present as anger. Autocrats & scapegoats soothe them.

I have tried to stay on Twitter, I really have, but it's 100% impossible to have a discussion there now. How many ways can they write "cry more libs"?
