In Dublin, on Fenian Street, there's a factory that makes child sex abuse material.

You can pay it money, as a subscription, and that's one of the services it offers. This doesn't happen by mistake or because you've tricked or hacked the system.

It’s a feature.

Thanks @conorom.bsky.social for writing this piece for us setting out the legal position on X and CSAM… in short, yes, they could be prosecuted.

Ireland could prosecute Twitter/X for AI 'child porn' deepfakes
The horrific child sex abuse material produced every day by Grok is already banned under Irish law. The real test is if we are ready to enforce that law against large tech companies

Twitter's data handling for Ireland/EU is done by the "X Internet Unlimited Company".
Whose office address is on Fenian St in Dublin.

A 5min walk from Pearse Street station.
I have rapidly graduated from this stance to "every soul working for the Twitter/X European HQ in Dublin after this week should be charged".
On a national level I wonder is there a political case to be made for banning twitter in Ireland on the grounds that it hosts CSAM.

We’ve always known the Irish Government and Gardaí were beholden to US corporate interests but their refusal to enforce CSAM laws for fear of upsetting an American company is the most craven display of cowardice I can imagine.

Useful reporting from Translucent. When we’ve suggested that trans women don’t pose a risk, people have argued that’s because of under reporting. These FOI requests suggest that might not be the case

The lesson of January 6th is that it does absolutely no good to prosecute the the violent foot soldiers if you're not going to prosecute the leaders and hold them accountable for their sedition under the full force of the law.

This video, viewed millions of times on TikTok, Facebook and X, claims to show Venezuelans taking to the street to thank the US for detaining Maduro.

But the video is a combination of four AI-generated clips and was first posted on TikTok by a user who frequently shares AI videos. It's not real.

As one whose designs and builds financial audit systems at scale, AI is going to need constant auditing and considerable responsibility fragmentation that same way human systems do to ensure vigilant harm detection/limitation.

Single point evals of AI systems is what they are going to do though.

Reports from Somaliland media, like Warya TV, indicate a high-level US delegation arrived in Hargeisa on Dec 26, 2025, for talks on security and recognition.

I couldn’t find any official US State Department confirmation yet.
Israel has officially recognized Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state.

In return, Somaliland may grant Israel access to its territory for a military base to monitor Houthi activity and the Red Sea.
