I am watching what is happening in Minneapolis on Ali Velshi and one of the ICE officers (off camera) literally says, “It’s like Call of Duty. Pretty cool huh?” as they shoot whatever it is they are shooting. Agents walking around, guns unholstered for no reason. This is insanity

the angle mostly died out on "AI will make each person their ideal story/movie/game/song" but for anyone who never got the problem a major part of the value of media is we want a common thing to talk about. we spend more time talking about it than consuming it. if you're the only person who saw it 🤷

To the justifiable discourse about how the repertory cinema experience is degraded by the smirky laughter of filmgoers who don't know how to process their own discomfort, all I can add is that if you're in a theater with a group of college kids who have been ASSIGNED to see a movie, brace yourself.>

Getting diagnosed with a neurodivergence later in life is a slow process of cataloguing all of your habits and tools, identifying which of those are symptoms of your condition and then deciding if you want to keep it or challenge it.
