RIP #BobbySherman. I loved him as a kid, watched “Here Come the Brides,” and still have his “groovy” love beads from Tiger Beat magazine! ☮️

She was the soundtrack to my teenage and college years. Unrivaled grace, soul and poetry. Also adored her duets with the incomparable Donny Hathaway. RIP.

Nikki Giovanni spoke at my small Ohio liberal arts college in September 1978. I was 19 years old. She was mesmerizing. Hers was the first book of poetry I purchased myself as a young woman. So grateful to have lived my life witnessing her fierce wisdom these many years hence. RIP, truth teller.
