Please, I am begging you, read this thread and heed Jessica's advice. Thank you.
So ok, here’s the deal. We’ve been skating on the fact that we had a massive summer wave last year, one of the biggest we’ve *ever* had. Since then, no new strain really took over, so people who got sick last year have been coasting on limited immunity to that strain.

That’s about to change.
“Experts have been closely watching the variant, which is now dominant in China and is on the rise in parts of Asia. Hong Kong authorities say that rates of COVID-19 in the city have climbed to the worst levels they have seen in at least a year…”

This morning’s walk and little moment of joy. One of my favourite summer flowers, the beautiful frangipani. The scent on the morning air is so lovely and always brings memories of Australian sunny summer holidays and lazing on beaches

apparently my name was used in vain on Q+A last night.

for the umpteenth time, i’m not a clive palmer level political donor.

here’s a representation of political funding over the last political cycle.

i’m the little purple square. significant, yes. major? no.

Almost summer in Sydney so here is a street view from my morning walk. Purple Jacaranda, and black bean tree, an Australian rainforest tree, with orange and yellow flowers in the foreground. It has extraordinary huge seed pods later in the year.
