CATO INSTITUTE:

Despite DOGE slashing jobs, government spending in every month of 2025 “was greater than in every other year .. An observer who did not know when DOGE started could not identify it” on a chart. 🤡

Given a lawless administration and a Congress that refuses to defend the Constitution, pursuing bipartisan legislation as usual on minor issues is a veneer of normality but the abdication of leadership.

When you visit someone's home, you can just go ahead and use their microwave, their washer and dryer, their tv.

But if you want to make coffee, expect a 20 minute instructional course with an exam before you have license to proceed on your own.

DOGE is, in a very literal sense, an operation to hand all sensitive data about the U.S. government and U.S. residents to the Russians.

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

My fear isn't a stock crash. That's been happening in slow motion for months.

My fear isn't a recession. Given the damage the Trump administration has done across industries and to the government workforce, that's a certainty.

This clarion essay by former GOP activist Chris Ladd points out what is increasingly obvious: We are at a point where genuinely resisting requires more than holding signs at protests, patiently waiting for a next election that will be neither free nor fair.

If corporate leaders had the cojones to publicize the costs this way, such as Apple advertising widely that the price of an iPhone has gone up X dollars due to tariffs, it would do far more to benefit the world than does their corrupt support of the new administration.
This will dramatically raise the price of @rakkasantea.bsky.social sourced from Colombia. If these tariffs go into effect, we'll immediately email our thousands of customers explaining, in detail, how President Trump and Republicans raised the price of their tea.
babe wake up the president is going to start a diplomatic war with Colombia

Watching Tim Walz is like seeing a character actor playing a football coach who you’re sure you've seen playing a governor or congressman in other movies.
