It's a purely ideological barrier, too. Desert courses, drought resistant grass, and water-optional lawns are all entirely real and valid things. The front garden can be a GARDEN, the golf course can be a COURSE, without wasting water.

Folks will say they want to save water until you ask them not to water lawns or do away with golf courses. Then you'd have better luck asking for their first borns.

and last night, they interrupted a peaceful protest in the middle of a song, no less, and pepper sprayed attendants at brutally close range.

the police were happy to let this quietly slide, until public outrage galvanized them to move.

and protesters have been threatened, they've threatened people's families, they've threatened their jobs, they've accused us of being drug fuelled heathens.

on April 18, a young woman was found, having fallen from the ninth floor of a building. she was left there for hours before someone found her.

the people who were with her had fled the scene. some were trying to flee the country. they did not call an ambulance. she was unresponsive, and remains so.

what followed was a series of coverups and delayed action on behalf of the government.
