Been ill lately, but feel that a corner has been turned. Just having a couple of liveners up on Gosforth High Street. As you do.

Just so you know, my tomatoes and my chillies - both currently in airing cupboard - have started sprouting this evening. Dig out your shorts.

Not sure what the backstory of the framed Jarvis print is (£10), but there were other icons in there too (Lennon £40 etc). Nice records still at Mind, albeit expensive, and I was tempted to dance with the captain but passed that up. The complete PSB book was good but a touch steep at £25, I felt.

Found myself in the unusual position of doing the Jesmond charity shop run and returning empty handed for once! In fact, I handed a load of stuff over. Still saw some very tempting gear, mind. Not least this mid 70s Akai deck. £150 at the top end of the price range but reflective of condition. Lush.

Greater minds, can you help? It’s for a thing. Am I right in thinking that all of the Champions League playoff winners play their last 16 first leg at home first? Documents suggest that’s the case but I’m unsure…

So, as well as strawberries and usual stuff, I’m growing 4 new varieties of veg this year that I’m quite excited about! Always love Cavolo Nero, and the 'Tromboncino’ courgettes will be interesting for Italian cooking. ‘Cobra’ French Beans and Cucamelons also come recommended. 3 types of tomato too!

I love strawberries, they’re the one plant that’s especially worth pushing for given the taste. Trying to decide where to put all of these, however. The standard ceramic pots look great but are expensive, I’m tempted by those ‘living wall’ sheets, but something creative using a pallett may happen. 🤔

Been an especially tough few weeks, all told. However, it was lovely to feel some very welcome Spring sunshine today. Chillies in airing cupboard, onions, rocket, mustard, leeks and a few annual flowers already away in the greenhouse; and they were joined by 30 strawberry plants this afternoon. 🙏
