If you have even a passing interest in football, the Womens Champions League is on Disney+. It's proper football on a streamer you might already have! With this and WSL games on YouTube every weekend makes Women's football a million times more accesible

Yes! I yearn for that so much. The closest thing now is to go to uni and use that student loan covering most of your rent and try to do it in those 3 years. Or parents that can pay your rent, I suppose!

It seems crazy you could get a residency or do some session work and make enough money to get by. But it's crazier that I think that so weird!

A big takeaway from @500songspodcast.bsky.social is that bands could actually live off of music before they were famous. To have the chance to spend a few years trying to make it, even on little money would be amazing. But it's not an option anymore. Make you wonder what we've lost in music.

Mindlessly scrolling earlier, I saw a video which contained the sentence "all culture war is a deliberate distraction from class war". Possibly the most succinct expression of the times we live in, and the problems we're facing.
