Hey, I'm pretty new here. I'm a big fan of Spider-Man Symbiotes and Star Trek. I'm also a bit of an artist.

Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in STAR TREK GENERATIONS (1994)
Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the bridge of the Enterprise-D. Like many of his co-stars, Stewart wears both his NEXT GENERATION costume and the newer DEEP SPACE NINE coveralls at various points throughout GENERATIONS. This was famously due to an aborted attempt by Costume Designer Robert Blackman to introduce brand new Starfleet uniforms for the TNG cast's first big screen adventure. According to Blackman: "...For the first STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION movie, executive producer Rick Berman wanted something new. He encouraged me to go in really different ways, and I produced a whole bunch of drawings for him. They looked great on paper, but it turned out there was no way to really structure them. We kept fitting them and fitting them. The fabric choice was not working; we didn't have enough fabric to dye; nothing was working. It was like the perfect storm. Nothing went right. We got right up to the first day of filming with them, and then Rick called me in. I think it was hard for him, but it was his job. He said, I don't think these uniforms are going to work. We'd better put the actors in some of the old uniforms we have, and go with that."

The explosion used for the destruction of the Stardrive section was a reuse of the destruction of the U.S.S. Grissom in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
The colors were tweaked a bit but they're one in the same.

According to Producer Rick Berman, Frakes would later go on to direct STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT and STAR TREK: INSURRECTION because of issues the studio had with David Carson's work behind the scenes on GENERATIONS: "There were a lot of problems with David Carson directing GENERATIONS, so when it came time for the second movie, I knew I needed to go elsewhere, and I had very strong feelings about Jonathan’s talents and about Jonathan’s work on both NEXT GENERATION and, at that point, DEEP SPACE NINE."

STAR TREK GENERATIONS would make the final time Burton would wear La Forge's iconic VISOR (except for footage filmed in 1997 for Las Vegas' STAR TREK: THE EXPERIENCE). Burton discussed the decision to replace the VISOR for STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT: "In the second season we redesigned the VISOR and made it heavier, and the way we actually affixed it was that we screwed it—we literally screwed it—into my head and so there were screws that we would turn and there were flanges on the inside that would press into my temples and so after fifteen or twenty minutes of that I got headaches. So I had a daily headache for about six years, which was also no fun. Rick Berman and I had many conversations, especially in those last couple of years. The VISOR is one of those ways that we immediately communicate to the audience the sort of level of technological sophistication in that 24th Century setting. And so he was really reluctant, you know, to give up one of one of those icons.”

For the 30th anniversary of STAR TREK GENERATIONS, Director David Carson remembered famed cinematographer John Alonzo: "The first thing I think about is John Alonzo, the cinematographer. He was a fantastic cinematographer and won the prize for 'Chinatown' and was incredibly experienced. We worked together extremely well. Everybody loved him and the work he did was absolutely stunning. Every scene had to have meaning and he lit for the meaning of it and then we shot it for that meaning. It was a terrific creative partnership."

I'm still off my sleep cycle but some sleep is better than no sleep.

For context of my last post, Jonathan Frakes and LeVar Burton both wore borrowed costumes from DS9, which were ill-fitting.
Frakes wore Avery Brooks' costume which was too small on him, but he was able to hide it by rolling up the sleeves.
LeVar wore Colm Meaney's costume, which was too big for him.
