The Russian Central Bank lowered the USD exchange rate by 0,69 rubles from 78,53 rubles to 77,83 rubles per USD and the euro exchange rate by 1,28 rubles from 91,81 rubles to 90,54 rubles per euro.

According to Rossstat the Russian official inflation for 2025 was 5,59%. Reminder that they did ignore most fuel prices outside of the big chains' own gas stations and we had the inflation for one of the last months of the year lowered by 0,3%.

South Korea increased its seafood imports from Russia in December 2025 to 2 year record of 53.81 million USD. This is the highest since November 2023 when 54,9 million USD was spent on Russian seafood imports.

In 2025 in Russia the price of rye bread rose by 13,4% and the price of wheat bread by 11,2%. Sales of baked goods in monetary terms rose by 18% whilst in physical terms by 2%. Rye cultivation area dropped by 29% and rye flower production by 10,3%.
