WTF? Trump is now threatening the American people. He warned protesters to stay away from his birthday/military parade in D.C. this Saturday, claiming anyone who shows up to protest “hates our country” and will be met with “very heavy force.” This is authoritarian behavior, plain and simple.

In Strasbourg today. Sad to see no UK flag outside the parliament. But we’re still represented at the Council of Europe. Important to remember why all this started - to create a lasting peace. Very poignant at the moment.

In northern France today. Our accommodation is next to an allied war cemetery. Oldest was 33. So many in their teens and early 20s. Canadians, Scottish and English in this cemetery. These brave boys gave their lives in 1918 for peace. A month before Armistice. We must never repeat this.
