Cats - a classic - opened on Broadway on this day in 1982.

I've only ever seen the filmed UK version (packed with great people) and haven't yet subjected myself to the notorious film.

6th October 1974 - Mack and Mabel debuts. Loved this soundtrack when I was younger and I borrowed it from my local library. Definitely due a re-listen.

(This is the 1996 London cast album and one of my favourites ever since seeing it televised with Adrian Lester in the lead role).

Listened to the cast albums for Pippin (some lovely songs); The Robber Bridegroom (didn't set me alight); Sing Street (not bad) and Twisted (had me laughing out loud - love the Disney parodies).

Really want to kickstart my Spotify Musical exploration after a summer of musicals - saw Hadestown (superb), Hercules (fine but nothing special) and Starlight Express (just as good as when I saw the original at 13 - had an absolute blast!)
