I'm looking forward to the new chapter and I've refreshed my offer for the new year to reflect both the things that I want to do more of and the things that I'm being asked for.

I got all three volumes of The Book of Dust but hadn't properly clocked that book one is a prequel to His Dark Materials so now I need to decide whether to reread the first trilogy before books two and three! Really enjoyed this one and being back in Lyra's world.

Claire Keegan has a real knack for spare, precise short stories. This one is more sad and less hopeful than Small Things Like These.

Beautifully illustrated but pamphlet length rather than full collection. I loved the idea of poems inspired by nature and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and usually enjoy Simon Armitage's work but, with a couple of notable exceptions, the poems didn't really capture me.

I really enjoyed this one, especially the way the archaeology and history was woven into stories about how people interact with and understand ancient sites today.
