Since we wrote this piece, Kennedy has continued attacks on vaccine ingredients and how vaccine trials are conducted - these actions could also affect vaccine access and manufacturer investment if new vaccines are difficult to get through ever-shifting regulatory hoops of his making...

The killings in Minneapolis didn’t come out of nowhere.

Funding, legal cover, weakened oversight, and dehumanising rhetoric ramping up over a year. This started on 20 Jan 2025 with Trump's executive orders on immigration.

I lay it out in my latest post.

Proper LOLs at Suella Braverman defecting to Reform...

The party that’s spent years attacking the Home Office has just welcomed the person who actually ran the Home Office.

Brilliant work lads.

At this time I would like to make it known that I do not give one single flying, or indeed walking, fuck about the 'Beckham family drama'. Thank you.

Trump:

"NATO has treated the United States very badly. We've never asked for anything. We've never got anything."

Tell that to the families of 850 soldiers from 19 non-US NATO countries who died fighting to defend the United States in Afghanistan - the only occasion Article 5 was ever triggered.

Imagine giving away your Nobel peace prize medal hoping for a presidency and getting a Trump-signed gift bag instead

When Venezuela’s opposition leader María Corina Machado walked into the White House on Thursday, she came bearing the gift US President Donald Trump has long coveted: a Nobel Peace Prize.

I think it's time for this whole generation of politicians to fuck off into the sea. Every single one of them insanely parroting the line immigrant=bad without ever stopping to wonder who's going to wipe their arse when they're old and doddery.
Starmer keeps using this line, & it's bonkers.

Most importantly, it's untrue: the party that ended Free Movement, ran the "hostile environment" & made Suella Braverman Home Sec did not run "an experiment in open borders".

It's also politically mad. Voters who believe this will not vote for Starmer

At least 2 Senators have said "All Powell has to do is talk to Pirro and tell her he's going to resign and Trump will drop the charges."
So here we have 2 sitting US Senators admitting the President is illegally extorting the chairman of The Fed. Admitting crimes out loud, on TV.

BBC report at a headline level that Grok will now not make sexually exploitative images any more. An actual reporter comes on and explains that it will do no such thing, and will just make the images invisible in the UK. These are two very, very different things.

in retrospect, it was amazing how much power people like Steven Pinker and Malcolm Gladwell had at their fingertips in the pre-social media era. They could write an airport book claiming potato chips killed more people than all historical wars combined and it would become universal received wisdom

There has been a clear escalation in rhetoric in recent weeks.

🚨 “Can I tell you how many times in the last 45 years the European Court of Human Rights has ruled against the UK when it comes to deporting people from this country - only 13 times - in 45 years”

Please remember this in 2026 when Nigel Farage tells you we must leave the ECHR to control our borders
Human rights are universal - politicians may not always find them politically convenient but it shouldn’t fall to any government to say who those rights should & should not apply to. Because none of us then has rights, just privileges that can be taken away by those in power
