Working on building a bunch of pieces for a series I'm writing!
Concept art piece. A large orb of blood hovers above the dias in the center of a ruined circular room. Broken stone tablets and iron chains litter the ground around the dias. The room is lit by a couple of wall mounted torches crafted in the shape of some horned horror. The blood orb radiates a dim red light, and the spiked humanoid form of the blood god is barely visible inside. Arnkit, full name Arnkit'atla-husfrey'irkir, is the matron dragon of the Forest Flight of the Crulean Crest Tropics, lifemate to Verthrik, mother to four hatchlings: Smara-kogur, Vred'tiss, Herinn, and Kyrvat. She is a large green dragon standing several human lenghts tall, and has a large green crystal floating above her claws. Thicker brown plates run from her forehead down her tail that also supports a large retractable fin like sail that stands a few feed above each plate. She is an envoy of the Dragon Nation to the city of Alabandrin. Character reference for Arsolvet the blood god in her true physical form, along with three variations of her favorite human form. Her true form stands around nine feet tall. Horned head, four glowing eyes, lip-less mouth of sharp teeth. Her skin is semi-transparent red that appears to move and flow like a pool of thick blood. On her neck, back and shoulders down to her ribs, as well as forearm and foreleg are dark red growths with spikes. Her human form is a red-headed woman standing around five foot eight, green eyes, sun-bronzed skin coloration. The three forms are nude reference, leather travel armor, and formal white dress. This is my demon OC with a concept twist in honor of Mer-May, my first entry into this particular event. My demon OC messes with a water temple during May, their month of power, gets caught and is punished by being transformed into a Merfolk of the Orca flavor. This red demon has half of their body magically modified into the black and white body of a male orca (tall thin fin) with a few elements that still marks him as a demon. The scene is in a clear blue ocean near the surface, sunlight streaming down into the darker water.

WIP - character reference for book 1, Marfon. This is just some base colors for Marfon's living armor progress. As a gift from Arsolvet the blood god, the seed (left) was implanted into his chest, attached itself, and began to grow. Specifically designed as a symbiote to grow armor, its kinda gross.

I wish I'd spent months longer preparing this one, and the picture doesn't do it justice, but I drew this as an alternative to our wedding guest book :) Had the guests sign feathers instead hehe. It still hangs on our wall today.

My wife's avatar as the more feline version of herself; serval cat. She has cats-eye frame glasses, a unique glowing blue horn, a collar with a brass plate that reads "I lyke cheez", her large ears are pierced by many silver rings, one silver eyebrow stud, large black stereo headpones around her neck, and her four paws have blue classic roller-skates with a rainbow icon over purple socks. Her form is resting on a large pile of silver chainmail rings, with several more personal artifacts. This is all situated on the bridge of a Star Wars Star Destroyer bridge with other normal cats walking around or playing musical instruments. This is my demon OC with a concept twist in honor of Mer-May, my first entry into this particular event. My demon OC messes with a water temple during May, their month of power, gets caught and is punished by being transformed into a Merfolk of the Orca flavor. This red demon has half of their body magically modified into the black and white body of a male orca (tall thin fin) with a few elements that still marks him as a demon. Yup! First couple books are centered around one city that is a cultural center for the continent, one big focus being academics. Its general; statecraft, economics, but also theoretics in magical and mechanical works. Anti-magic obelisks are a thing, for one-they make them there. City of Alabandrin.
Night scene in the hills over the city Alabandrin, Jeron and P'traltis rest in the snow and take in the view. Arnkit and her family fly overhead in the distance. The sky is lit by the aurora and the three moons. -This was a challenge piece done in about a day; no real planning but I like how it turned out for the time spent. City of Alabandrin concept work: street view looking down a main road towards city-center. Entire city is designed as an amphitheater; angled slightly down towards the center. The center of the city is raised hundreds of feet at center, but that is close to ground level for the surrounding region. From center, four main highways extend out to the city edge.

Frame 3, the attempt fails and the Cattiva is shocked, then angry, saying "You are already dead" - a throwback to a meme that went around some time ago. Frame 4, character is shocked and frightened, holding up an arm in defense and commenting about a strange power charging up. Frame 5, character is disintegrated by Solar Blast in a reference to the movie Terminator 1.

Her other hand is engulfed in purple flames. A black tail loops around behind her in the symbol for infinity, reflecting the bright light of blue runes illuminating the floor. Columns of light from the rune rise up to the night sky. Terraria: had a fun idea about a cannibal lamia modeled after the blue coral snake. In this world, she eats "evil" things, so that made her a natural ally. The Guide accepted her, worked with her, and eventually developed a caring relationship... but the story of the game takes that to a twist. In order to progress in the game, sacrifices must be made ><

Finding his nerve again, the warrior continued down the hall. More cautiously than before, he watched each statue as he passed. In turn, they watched him in eerie silence. The only sounds in the hallway was the painfully loud footfalls of his own boots, and the faint crackle of unnatural fire from the metal decorations behind him. Just before the warrior was in arms reach of the doors, he heard a latch trigger. Shattering the silence with the sounds of metal braces scraping against stone floor, the two massive doors began to creak inward and open. Beyond the threshold was a vast chamber mostly engulfed in shadow. Despite only a handful of the skull torches lighting the chamber, he could see an arching ceiling and curved walls. The center of the room was lit by the dim red radiance of a large orb that hovered silently over a dais. As he approached, he stepped over thick lengths of metal chains. Crumbled at the base of the dais were innumerable tablets with faded carvings. He couldn't read any of them, even if he had proper lighting to try. Many of them had mosaics depicting some important events, several of which he did recognize from old legends: the capture of an ancient evil. He looked up at the orb. His ears answered what his eyes questioned. The mass of the object wasn't a solid sphere, but a flowing globe of liquid. Tiny ripples created small waves that flowed in various directions of the sphere of glowing, red liquid. Without having to consider it for long, his nose found the answer: blood. Whatever horror waited for him here, the broken stone pictures and loose chain painted a clear picture for him. It was free, and he had the chance to deal with it. Concept art piece. First is a demon lord on top of his castle in orbit of a new world. Second is a D&D concept with wife and I: Tesla Bard! Third is a Palworld fanart!

WIP. Very advanced point in my story series: one of many demon lords searching the stars finds a new system to call home. It celebrates their arrival as the castle orbits the new world, the new feeding grounds. Planet and moon in foreground set against a starscape and nebula. D&D concept: wife as a Gnome Bard Artificer, now a Tesla Bard haha! She's riding her tank, who is a copper draconian with an affinity for electricity. He is adorned in sapphire jewels that act as capacitors, linked by gold for conductivity. A shocking performance to be sure! Palworld fanart! Distant future from where the game is set. Player raised a vampiric Quivern with diamond skin traits, who has now become a vampire herself. They are standing on a futuristic platform of their base while they watch a Xeno invasion in progress. Referenced my screenshot in-game, modified terrain to try and guess for many decades of development and topography change (and world tree growth).

Ohh #WebComicWednesday is a thing! I don't have an actual webcomic started yet, but that is the plan! I have two books in the works, in a series, that'll become one. Lots of work to do.

BUT! Here are my first attempts and testing-the-waters with layouts, my skill, etc. Random fun!
First webcomic practice attempt. First real furry as well, and my wife picked how I drew her. I went with a red dragon humanoid form for myself, with a MLP reference t-shirt and a chainmail necklace my wife made for me. Wife went with a Serval cat furry, picked out detail things for her like hair color additions, glasses, a collar, and the Breaking Bad reference apron. Character in last panel is my step daughter Sora as her own OC entity. Stellaris comic based on an event in the game where I came by a planet locked behind a global shield. It was failing and causing harm to the critters trapped in a time loop; it'd eventually implode or something and end them. So... I chose to help them out and release em. Bad idea. They were sealed away for a reason: cute lizards turned out to be Fanatical Purifiers... and they build/breed very quickly! It took a few of the local empires to deal with them, too haha! Terraria: had a fun idea about a cannibal lamia modeled after the blue coral snake. In this world, she eats "evil" things, so that made her a natural ally. The Guide accepted her, worked with her, and eventually developed a caring relationship... but the story of the game takes that to a twist. Arsolvet the bood god experienced a fluid state of being before anything solid, so quite easily a second nature of existence! Moving through bodies of water is easy, especially if it's moving her vines through a warm body to manipulate organs or fix/mess with things.

Arsolvet the bood god experienced a fluid state of being before anything solid, so quite easily a second nature of existence! Moving through bodies of water is easy, especially if it's moving her vines through a warm body to manipulate organs or fix/mess with things.

Thought I'd share some random small stuff I've done for friends and fun along the way this year. Most of it is quick requests... some are just... REALLY strange, or born of hilariously stupid moments for no real reason lol! Alt text for more.
For a friend's Twitch stream: the "Q Stamp of Approval" with an extra star for butts. Faded stamp style on aged, torn paper. Yes, that is a mushroom... and it has an eye for their main character style heh. Moosedog. Quick lil doodle for a hilarious and very random stream moment I wanted to illustrate, just cuz! Poopakabra. ....we laughed way too hard at this. My friends pestered me to do it... I take no responsibility! haha! For a friend's Twitch stream: the Q Gasm emote.

Workin on concept/ref pieces for a story I'm writing, and doin fun stuff on the side too! Last is a mashup of GW2 and WoW! More in alt text.

Arnkit, full name Arnkit'atla-husfrey'irkir, is the matron dragon of the Forest Flight of the Crulean Crest Tropics, lifemate to Verthrik, mother to four hatchlings: Smara-kogur, Vred'tiss, Herinn, and Kyrvat. She is a large green dragon standing several human lenghts tall, and has a large green crystal floating above her claws. Thicker brown plates run from her forehead down her tail that also supports a large retractable fin like sail that stands a few feed above each plate.
