It is both utterly sincere and also rather silly. 😆

I will never see the opossum again after that but during moments of chaos and turmoil and uncertainty, I will close my eyes and see again the opossum nod at me, and when I open my eyes I will remember exactly who I am and who I want to be.

Someday, when I am taking a hike in the woods, wearing the sweater on a day that is much too warm, the opossum will cross the path ahead of me. It will pause, and its babies will peek out from under the neckline. The opossum and I will each give each other the slightest of nods and carry on.
