Real, I wouldn't mind a tin of tuna to snack on right now tbh.

I guess it's easier for some folks to lick boots than it is to realize you're supporting the bad guys.

"the slave catchers are different from the immigrant snatchers" ahh rhetoric

No that's fair, lunatic was the wrong word to use.

"Bigoted piece of shit" would have been much better.

"I'm taking my creations and I'm going home."

Oh God. Well.

He was damn good at his subject, he knew bears very well. It's sad that he misjudged the situation he was in, but still. Never knew about this.

They seem friendly.

Would they like some shiny things?

EXCUSE ME?!

One, fair, two, wouldn't that mean that if a dragonborn somehow became immortal or gain an extraordinarily long life, they'd develop Scaleblight?

Lesson? Don't fuck with dragons.

Bear in mind I had to simplify what psychosis is considered from a psychology standpoint, since I do indeed only have three hundred characters to work with.

I have not seen it, but I will put it into my very long list of movies!

The act of being numb to death, or worse, numb to killing, means you've seen it or done it enough that at this point, it doesn't mean much.

And that's one of the greatest horrors of all. How your body and mind can get used to something that ordinarily is so, so very terrible.
January 12, 2026 at 3:39 AM
But you never stop and realize that either A, these are badly written characters that never feel that for...no good reason, or B, these are characters that have already done this.

They've gotten past that first encounter and are now *numb* to it.

Which is not a good thing.

You don't see Jack Reacher get phased by killing. Or any other version of the murderous good guy that we see on TV.

We see them kill, then move on like it's nothing, and then just internalize that yes. That is how you react. That is how my characters should react.
