And it's not just another locomotive of the same class! Whiff carries the number 66 in the TV show, and his wheel arrangement of 2-2-4T is one that Aerolite only had after its second rebuild! He's literally the same engine! So specific! He works at a dump!

Okay, a real fact about Whiff: he's based — for some unknown reason — on LNER No. 66 Aerolite, one of the most glamorous locomotives ever devised, which was decidedly NOT used for hauling garbage and slop at any point in its working life.
