These features are some of the funnier ones. Like how to drill the crosshole in the one tab since access is blocked by the two standoffs. And why aren’t the standoffs one island, why make someone use a stupid long tool to tease the space between them out. And an angled cross thread in the other? 🤣

Repaired an old dremel without burning the house down. Next time I’ll be less impatient, though, and take @blinkyparts.bsky.social up on his offer for the batter tab welder 🙈.

Saga continues. Since the German factory authorized service stopped answering, I ordered the possible sensors from Italy and they arrived in 4 days. Just got home and installed it and some less hacky hot air distribution. It works. The big test will be if it works tomorrow and the next day.

The only positive I see here is that it’s a hotel so I don’t need to shovel the Bürgersteig. 😑

It appears that removing all the cladding, removing the sensors and looking at them, then reinstalling the sensors, but not the cladding is the correct start process for this aggravating oven. 🤬

There is a tour of the KTB (Continental Deep Bore) near Windischeschenbach and they have a stylized model of the oblate spheroid there. Neat to see in person.
