I’m still in. I think I may have had a close call on the 9th as I was in a lab where they had the radio playing quietly and caught myself humming last Christmas as I was leaving, but I don’t think I heard it, at least I didn’t recognize it at the time 🙈.

Someone in the original post comments tried to defend them saying obviously the part has been through engineering so all the decisions are reasoned and engineered so are sound design decisions…. All the machinists laughed heartily at this one.

These features are some of the funnier ones. Like how to drill the crosshole in the one tab since access is blocked by the two standoffs. And why aren’t the standoffs one island, why make someone use a stupid long tool to tease the space between them out. And an angled cross thread in the other? 🤣

Same with my daughter. We rarely spoke englisch at home. But she is now tutoring some kids in Englisch as a neben-nebenjob to Uni.

My grandparents were involved in the Elks and I actually went to several of the banquets there. Only vague memories since I was so young.

Somewhat unrelated, but I found it funny in a bureaucratic way. My wife had emergency surgery on Sunday night and I have to go to her Hausarzt to get the doctors note because the hospital can’t issue one.

Amazing. We moved house in 2008 and there are still some packed boxes in the attic. A wise person would just bin them since they are obviously not important 🤦🏻♂️.

Nah, my phone is set to DE, but I’m not setting it to English to get around it, I just don’t watch that much YouTube anymore. This and the atrocious number of ads.

This annoys me so much. Especially since the YouTube I watch is invariably something esoterically technical and the translations are complete nonsense.
