While conducting research on the absent parafloral history of Spiritualism this morn, I happened upon a 1929 photograph of Annie Besant in a garden. I couldn’t help but be taken by her robe, vines outlining her body like an aura, ascending from vegetal motifs reminiscent of the tree of life.

This morning, I'm thinking about tone on tone overshot; and (unrelated) how my experience w/ digital humanities at a private liberal arts college has contributed to cognitive decline rather than extending cognition.

In the early phase of developing a new lecture series on visual thinking, specifically geometric & diagrammatic methods. This series w/ a focus on the philosophy of the diagram explores a multiplicity of histories, theories, & practices from lit, math, arts & crafts, DH, occult & magical practice.
