Recognizing that the so-called MAGA base comprises only about a quarter of the American electorate, it is heartening to observe that most Americans share the opposition to Trump and his corruption and lawlessness that animated last Saturday’s No Kings protests. The movement grows; more to come.

Trump has sent our military to war without authorization by Congress and without offering a shred of evidence justifying his action. He took us to war on nothing more than his say so, which isn’t worth spit. That's not the American way.

I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”
I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

I hope the Park Service and other agencies archive all that Trump's minions erase and revise, so once he's gone, we can more readily push the "undo" button and restore all he would wish away.
